Yesterday, Senate bill SB680, to end the shark fin trade in Florida, passed its final committee stop with an unanimous vote. And we just got word that it is headed to the Senate Floor for a final vote, FAST! Fast as in, tomorrow, Wednesday March 4th. After yesterday’s hearing, CBS 12 wrote up about the hearing. “The overall proposal was pushed by the national advocacy group Shark Allies and Guy Harvey Enterprises, which teamed up to spotlight shark-based tourism in Florida.”
